  • When I was visiting Santa Cruz last week, I needed help with a scratch on my car. Mike and Dave were extremely helpful. I was completely clueless about what products are available and how to go about it. Dave came out to checkout the scratch on the car and brought two products with him. He showed me how to use them, let me try them on the car and recommended the one that worked better. They didn't need to do that, but that shows that they truly care about the need of the customer. Incredible! This is going to be my favorite customer service story!Highly highly recommended. When I was visiting Santa Cruz last week, I needed help with a scratch on my car. • I needed four crush washers in an exceptionally obscure size on a Saturday and made the trip to NAPA first, but was let down; they didn't have quite the right size despite having a decent selection.

Santa Cruz Auto Parts across the street was the same story.

Despite my judgement, I also tried AutoZone where they seriously suggested I use zinc-plated steel washers when they came up empty-handed. Ignorance is dangerous, and I pity anybody who shops there.

Ace hardware apologized in advance, they said they were unlikely to have what I needed and they were right. There's honor in that.

My experience at O'Reilly's was eerily similar to AutoZone. The clerk lumbered to the register with that familiar flimsy plastic box of scrap-grade steel washers and I quickly excused myself.

As I dragged myself home in near-defeat I remembered Andy's on Pacific. I stopped by and they employees pulled out case after case of crush-washer variety packs out of the back, spending nearly 10 minutes to find the correct size. What did I owe them for this favor? A mere $0.69 for all four, less then the cost of one at NAPA, if NAPA even had what I wanted.

  • I'm pleased to find a honest place to take my vehicle. I get honesty, good prices nd great work...I'm happy. I've had a radiator job, tune up and oil change and I'm happy with results. Thank you.

  • Jordan and Dave, quick, kind, and professional.
Monday, July 18th, my daughter and I were on our way to the birth of my first grandchild in Walnut Creek. My daughter's car wouldn't start. She needed a new battery before we left town. In a panic, we called Andy's Auto Supply to see if they had and could install a battery for her car. They said they could and would be waiting for us to arrive.

When we arrived, my daughter went inside. Before she returned, Jordan came out, opened the hood, and started taking out the old battery. Next thing I knew, Dave was running a new battery out to be installed.
We were on the road in less than 10 minutes. We made it in time to visit with the new parents before my granddaughter was born.
